Lake Erie Metropark Opens Golf Course For Spring Season

BROWNSTOWN (WWJ) - Lake Erie Metropark golf course is scheduled to open Friday, April 1. 

The 6,500-yard, 18-hole, par 72 course features beautiful fairways that are surrounded by natural wetlands and wooded areas. The entrance is on Lee Road, east of Jefferson, one mile south of Huron River Drive in Brownstown. (click for map)

Regular Spring rates with a cart are $25 for 18-holes or $18 for 9-holes. Regular Spring rates without a cart are $18 for 18-holes or $15 for 9-holes.

Senior (62 and over) Spring rates with a cart are $20 for 18-holes or $15 for 9-holes. Senior Spring rates without a cart are $14 for 18-holes or $10 for 9-holes. 
 
New this year, Junior rates are extended to patrons under 20 years of age, in an effort to encourage more young people to golf. Junior rates cost the same as Senior rates.
 
Golfers can save even more during the season with discounted rates offered noon to 3 pm daily. Extra discounts are also offered on weekdays after 6 pm and weekends after 3 pm.

Golf course hours are 9 am until dusk daily, with hours extending as daylight increases. Tee times are taken on a daily basis early in the season, and can be reserved up to two weeks in advance later in the season. Golfers are advised to call in advance to confirm course conditions.
 
Rental golf clubs, golf accessories, beer, wine and food are all available at the golf starter building. Coolers are not allowed on the course.
