Client Wins From April 4

Tarrant Appraisal District, Texas Upgrades With Manatron Software: Portage-based Manatron Inc. announced that Texas's Tarrant Appraisal District has contracted with Manatron to implement its GRM computer-aided mass appraisal software to serve as its newly integrated assessment system. Tarrant AD is the second-largest appraisal district in Texas and encompasses more than 822,000 parcels. When the district discussed upgrading its current property assessment system, it conducted an extensive search for a company that offered a product with complete integration potential. Manatron was eventually selected by Tarrant AD's Board of Directors in a competitive bid process for its knowledge of government software, its technical resources and the company's stability and growth. The district also cited Manatron's existing knowledge of Tarrant AD staff and its internal processes as important considerations. Throughout the implementation process, Manatron will be preparing Tarrant AD for a more technically advanced future as the product will allow the district to improve communication and interaction with the tax payers and will offer better methods of evaluation and use of resources. The software has an anticipated 2012 launch date. Manatron, a privately-held company and an investment of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, LLC, provides software and services for governments worldwide to completely, fairly and efficiently assess real and personal property, and to bill and collect the related property taxes in their jurisdictions. Manatron's software manages the entire property life cycle, which includes land registry, cadastral mapping, deed recording, land records, GIS (Geographic Information System) integration, valuation, assessment administration, personal property, business licenses, cashiering, tax billing and collection, delinquents and tax sales and e-government.
