DETROIT (WWJ) – It’s one of the biggest events at Cobo Center, after the North American International Auto Show.
It’s the Society of Automotive Engineers World Congress: the SAE Convention, and it gets under way this week. WWJ Newsradio 950’s Gary Lundy tells us more about the job fair which is part of the event.
The convention kicks off on Tuesday with a two-day career fair at Cobo.
Job seekers will be able to take part in a Career Development Session for career skills, and they can attend a free resume clinic.
For companies, the event provides an opportunity to find talented job seekers that can fulfill a company’s project needs.
It’s all in preparation for a brand new automotive trade show that’s coming to Detroit in October.
Insiders say Detroit doesn’t have a manufacturing trade show, which is the center of manufacturing and electric car development in the country.
