Town Hall On Gov's Proposed Budget

DETROIT (WWJ) - The city of Detroit's five Democratic senators are holding a Town Hall Meeting on Monday to discuss how Governor Rick Snyder's proposed budget would impact the community.

Michigan Senators Morris Hood III, Tupac Hunter, Burt Johnson, Virgil Smith and Coleman Young II are hosting tonight's town hall meeting. They say the governor has been invited so that he can hear directly from the people his budget would impact.

The meeting gets underway at 6:00 p.m. Monday night at U of D Mercy on W. McNichols in Detroit.

More town hall meetings are planned throughout the month in other cities across the state, including Kalamazoo, Redford and Grand Rapids.
