–RW Drew Miller is making a strong case to be a regular in the playoffs. Miller, who’s been rotated with Kris Draper as a healthy scratch in the past six weeks, has scored a goal in each of the last two games. He is driving to the net with determination, going to the hard areas of the ice.
–D Nicklas Lidstrom finished with a minus rating for the first time in 19 seasons (minus-2). It is not reflective of his performance, however, as the soon-to-be 41-year-old is a leading candidate to win his seventh Norris Trophy as the league’s top defenseman.
–C Justin Abdelkader continues playing the type of gritty, physical game the team wants to see from him in the playoffs. He registered a game-high five hits. He also played a key role on the penalty-killing units which killed all three Chicago power plays. And he went 11-10 in faceoffs.
–G Chris Osgood (surgery on Jan. 11 for a sports hernia) is on long-term injured reserve.
–D Niklas Kronwall has missed five games with an upper-body injury but expects to return for the start of the playoffs.
–C Henrik Zetterberg has missed two games with a lower-body injury. He is not expected to be ready for the start of the first round.
