As a result of a recent national buying contract, Troy-based Champion Home Builders Inc. will now be including appliances from Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corp. in all of its manufactured housing and modular home plants.

The agreement between the two Michigan-based companies consists of kitchen and laundry appliances for a number of life stages.

“Our partnership with Whirlpool Corporation is an ideal fit, as we both share a long history of working to meet the needs of homeowners in everything we do,” said Bill Tackett, vice president of purchasing at Champion. “With Whirlpool, we can offer everything from entry-level to design-focused specialty appliances, as well as a wide selection of Energy Star qualified appliances.”

Said Tom Halford, general manager of contract sales and marketing at Whirlpool: “Like Whirlpool Corporation, Champion is proud to call Michigan home. As Champion’s single-source appliance provider, we’re dedicated to upholding their standards for using the best brands and home products to delight homebuyers.”
