Dinosaur Easter Egg Hunt At Detroit Science Center

DETROIT (WWJ) - This Saturday, April 16, kids can participate in an Easter Egg Hunt like no other at the Detroit Science Center!

Throughout the day, they can search the museum for special dinosaur eggs filled with treats.

At 11 am and 4 pm there will be a dinosaur costume contest and parade. Any child dressed in dinosaur costume will receive $2 off admission to the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibition. The museum is open 10 am until 6 pm.

Dinosaurs Unearthed is a dynamic exhibition that brings inspiration, science and technology together to create a multi-sensory experience. The exhibition features a state-of-the-art showcase of more than 20 full-size animatronic dinosaurs, fully-articulated skeletons, interactive displays, as well a historically significant collection of nearly 40 fossil replicas that includes eight feathered fossils.

Tickets for the Dinosaurs Unearthed include admission to the special exhibit, the museum, one planetarium show and one IMAX show. Tickets cost $19.95 for adults 13 and older, and $17.95 for seniors and children. Admission is free for children under 2-years-old.

Parking costs $5 at the small lot located in front of the museum. Additional parking is available at several nearby parking lots and facilities. Hours and rates vary by location.
