Missing Child In Detroit Feared To Be In Danger

DETROIT (WWJ) - An 11-year-old boy is missing Saturday morning, and Detroit Police say the situation is serious.

Speaking to WWJ's Kathryn Larson, the missing child's father, Robert Cheeseboro said he's too shook up to talk, but his son Robert Williams has been missing since Friday night at around 5:00.

Police say Robert Williams got his reportcard after school on Friday which indicated failing grades. He was upset and afraid of discipline so he ran away from his home on the 4900 block of Hillsboro in Detroit. Now, there is great concern that he could be in danger.

Williams is described as a black male, last seen wearing a black Rocawear coat, blue shirt, blue plants and Air Jordan sneakers.

If you have any information on his whereabouts you're urged to contact Detroit Police at 313-267-4600 or call the DPD tip line at 313-596-2313.
