Local Celebration Of William And Kate's Wedding

WARREN (WWJ) - There's a special wedding watch party in Warren next week, to see the wedding of the year; Prince William and Kate Middleton.

WWJ's Sandra McNeill reports that the members of the Commonwealth Club will stage their wedding reception on Saturday in honor of William and Kate. The group's Pam Douglas says she is really looking for to it.

"We are going to bring little finger sandwiches and our special little tea-cups and our favorite food. It's just a good day to get together and celebrate something that is actually going to be nice for once rather than all the turmoil that we've had lately," says Douglas.
"She is a little bit like Diana because she's trying to do her own thing and make it her way, rather than people telling her you have to do this, you have to do that, she is young, she is fresh, I think she is going to bring fresh ideas into the monarchy," says Douglas.
Douglas says they will wear hats and dresses like a real English wedding and watch the whole thing on tape. The reception is at 2 p.m. Saturday and is open to the public.
