DETROIT (WWJ) – While the snow fortunately melted as it hit the pavement here in Metro Detroit, the worst of it was in Kalamazoo Monday which received about 3 inches of snow by noon.

Officially, Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus reported 1.6 inches, while Ann Arbor and Farmington Hills had 2.5 inches.

The weather service says Detroit’s season total is 69.1 inches, making it the fifth snowiest for the area since records started being kept in 1880.
