Deadline Approaches For MCWT Mentoring Program

The Michigan Council of Women in Technology is seeking both mentors and mentees for its 2011-12 mentoring program.

The program offers mentees information on the necessary steps to advance their careers, tips on what skills are essential in their fields, how to position themselves for professional growth and more.

Mentees gain invaluable insight beyond their own education and experience. Whether you need advice or a sounding board, a mentor can be of great value.

For mentors, remember the person who gave his or her time and knowledge and supported you in your career advancement? Are you willing to give back to help someone else grow? Every mentor in the program says they get back as much or more than they give, and there is always a sense of satisfaction when a mentee reaches her goal. If you are willing to commit one hour per month, please fill out the mentor application.

Enrollment is open through Friday, April 22. Nonmembers interested in participating can join MCWT for $85, and then register. Full-time student membership dues are just $20. The MCWT mentoring program is free for members.
