The Lions dream would be to watch rangy LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson drop into their laps at 18. But even if that happened I would be hesitant to make the selection because it would beg the question — what the heck is wrong with this guy? So the second (and far more realistic dream) is to watch a coveted player like WR Julio Jones drop to the Lions at #13 and allow them to move down and grab an extra second round pick.

Kansas City covets a wide receiver at #21. Jacksonville could use one at #16. Detroit could package their pick at #13 and perhaps throw in a later round pick for a first and second.

And here’s the preferred haul: Mid-to-late first, Purdue defensive end Ryan Kerrigan, and 2nd Round, Colorado Corner back Jimmy Smith and North Carolina linebacker Bruce Carter. How about that for draft day haul? — One trade and you help the defense on all three levels. Boosh!
