DDOT Announces Service Changes

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) will implement minor schedule and route adjustments, as well as improve travel times on certain routes, effective Saturday, April 23, 2011.

These adjustments are based on DDOT's service standards, which are designed to provide the most efficient service possible in meeting customer travel needs. 

The changes and affected routes are summarized below. There is no route elimination.

Routes with first and last trip departure time adjustments: 

  • 7 Cadillac/Harper
  • 9 Chalmers
  • 10 Chene
  • 11 Clairmount
  • 12 Conant
  • 13 Conner
  • 15 Chicago/Davison
  • 18 Fenkell
  • 23 Hamilton  
  • 36 Oakland                 
  • 37 Michigan
  • 38 Plymouth
  • 39 Puritan
  • 40 Russell
  • 41 Schaefer   
  • 43 Schoolcraft
  • 47 Tireman  

Route Adjustments:

  • 13 Conner
  • 15 Chicago/Davison
  • 19 Fort
  • 23 Hamilton

Trips added:

  • 13 Conner (Sunday)
  • 16 Dexter (weekday)

Improved shortened travel times:

  • 10 Chene
  • 13 Conner (Sunday)
  • 18 Fenkell (weekday)
  • 23 Hamilton (weekday)
  • 41 Schaefer 

Improved wait times between buses:

  • 13 Conner
  • 15 Chicago/Davison
