McDonald's Buys County Building

PONTIAC (WWJ) - Oakland County has sold an office building in Walled Lake, to the McDonald's Corporation. The west Oakland office building sold for $675,000.

It was costing the county $135,000 per year in maintenance and utility costs. The county is now in negotiations with the Walled Lake school district to lease nearby space for some of the Health and Human Services workers who are currently in the west Oakland office building.

Septic field and restaurant inspection services workers who are also currently in that now-sold building will continue to work, in the field, thanks to technology.
