Princeton Review names Grand Valley 'Green College' for second year: Grand Valley State University was named one of the country's most environmentally responsible colleges by The Princeton Review for the second year in a row. Grand Valley is included in "The Princeton Review's Guide to 311 Green Colleges: 2011 Edition."  The guide focuses on higher education institutions that have demonstrated an above average commitment to sustainability in campus infrastructure, activities and initiatives. Areas of evaluation included the institution's commitment to building at LEED standards, sustainability committees, environmental literacy programs, the use of renewable energy resources and recycling and conservation programs. The Sustainability Guide provides tips, stories and opportunities for the community to take an active role in shaping a sustainable environment at Grand Valley and throughout the community.
