Sec. Of State Introduces License Plate To Benefit Organ Donations
FLINT (WWJ) - Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson wants to get the word out about organ donations in driving fashion. Monday Johnson unveiled a proposed license plate design to benefit organ donation efforts.
The proposed plate, which would require legislative approval, was on display Monday while Johnson was at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
She says she's encouraged by efforts to increase organ donations in the state, which has 3,000 people on waiting lists, and says more people should join the Michigan Organ Donor Registry.
