Barricaded Man In Police Custody
FRENCHTOWN TWP. (WWJ) - A man has been arrested after he reportedly barricaded himself inside a mobile home with weapons Tuesday afternoon in Monroe County.
The incident prompted a partial evacuation of Frenchtown Township's Kimberly Estates, with no one being allowed to enter.
The showdown grabbed the attention of nearby workers, including Jay Peters at the B and P Speed Shop.
"There were heilcopters flying overhead. SWAT team vehicles going by, going up north here -- about a half-mile north of the shop," Peters told WWJ.
Police have not released details about the case or the name of the man in custody.
