The Red Wings schedule for round 2 is set for the first four games of the series; San Jose is the opponent in a rematch of last year's semifinal series that the sharks won in 5. Detroit travels out west for game 1 Friday night then game 2 is Sunday afternoon with games 3 and 4 next Wednesday and Friday at the Joe.
Another award nomination for a Red Wing as Pavel Datsyuk is up for the Selke again for the league's top defensive forward. Datsyuk has won the last 3, Ryan Kesler and Jonathon Toews the other finalists.
Deion Sanders of the NFL Network says he has talked to Martin Mayhew and believes the Lions GM is looking for cornerback but Primetime has told his old Florida State buddy to stay away from drafting a corner. Deion believes it's a gamble, Lions draft 13th in tomorrow night's draft.
Matthew Stafford tweeting today that he worked out this morning in Atlanta, throwing passes to Calvin Johnson and Chad Ochocinco.
Tigers look to get back on track tonight with game 2 of their series with the Mariners downtown. Justin Verlander on the hill against Erik Bedard who is 0-4 with an ERA over 7.
