Toyota Recalls 51,000 Tundra Trucks

DETROIT (WWJ) - Toyota is recalling 51,000 2011 model Tundra pickups to inspect the rear drive shaft. Toyota is referring to it as a "voluntary safety recall."

The company says a very small percentage of the vehicles may include a "slip yoke" that could break.

There has been one such reported incident, with no accident or injury.

Dealers will perform an inspection and, if necessary, replace the rear drive shaft at no charge.

Owners affected by the recall will be notified by mail within the next month.
