14-Year-Old Boy Pleads Guilty To Rape, Kidnapping
DETROIT (AP) - A 14-year-old Detroit boy has pleaded guilty to rape and kidnapping charges for an attack on a 26-year-old female pedestrian.
Police say the boy walked behind the woman on a northwest Detroit street on March 3, put a knife to her throat and forced her into the abandoned house, then raped her. He was prosecuted as an adult.
Wayne County prosecutor's spokeswoman Maria Miller says boy pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping.
Judge Leslie Kim Smith is to sentence him May 25. The charges can bring up to life in prison.
