TAYLOR (WWJ) – As a first step in cutting the city’s budget, effective Sunday, the city of Taylor has laid off nine police officers.

Mayor Jeffrey Lamarand says next year’s budget reflects  a police force of 48 officers, down from 72. 

Lamarand says more cuts are coming to all departments, because the money just isn’t  there.

    1. The City of Tayor Citie Budjet was alot smaller then last Year budjet too! True ! The City Offical voted by City councail talking Citie Money probles too! The Police budjet was alot smaller too! Answer is: Decision by the Elected Mayor said to lay off (9) Citie Police officers too! Agreed!!!
