Bicyclist Dies In Lake Orion Car Crash

LAKE ORION (WWJ) – A deadly accident in Lake Orion happened overnight involving a bicyclist and car.

Police got the call around midnight Thursday from Lapeer Road, near Flint Street.

The 38-year-old bicyclist who was killed is from Lake Orion, but police are not releasing any other details about what happened at this time.

Lapeer Road was closed for several hours overnight, but has since reopened.

Tipsters John and Cindy Seinar sent WWJ Newsradio 950 an email at 12:43 Friday morning that said, “I believe we just witnessed a traffic fatality at the corner of M-24. Very sad… man lying in the street.”

    its hard to beleve that on that part of m-24 the speed limit is 35 i think the police officer was driving over the speed limit to kill that young man , the police man should be let go from his job by the chief of the Lake Orion police dept.
