Skeletal Remains Turn Out To Be A Large Dog

MILFORD (WWJ) – For a time Friday afternoon Milford Police thought they might have a homicide investigation on their hands, after a homeowner discovered skeletal remains inside of a covered concrete vault on his property.

But police say those remains turned out to be from a large dog.

Milford Police as well as the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office were called out to a home on Woodbine off of north Hickory Ridge near Sears Lake  where they spent hours investigating the find.

Investigators say the remains were placed into a covered concrete vault.

The Medical Examiner’s Office was alerted — but wasn’t needed after the identification was announced.
