Train Passengers Noticing Increased Security
DETROIT (WWJ) – As we have been reporting on WWJ. It appears al-Qaida was considering attacking U.S. trains on the upcoming anniversary of the September 11th attacks. That intelligence comes from information gathered at Osama bin Laden’s home.
Dearborn native now living in Connecticut Nathan Needering says he has noticed an increased security presence on the trains.
“In the New Haven station, of course it’s on their busy corridor on the East coast, and there were at least three canine teams that were constantly walking around and nothing seemed out of place,” Needering says.
“Also on the train at the Rochester, New York station their were border patrol agents were coming through and asking people what their citizenship was,” adds Needering.
