2 Bicyclists Dead In Separate Accidents

DETROIT (WWJ) – Authorities say two bicyclists have died after being hit by vehicles in separate crashes in Lake Orion and Livonia.

At about 9:15 a.m. Friday, authorities say a 54-year- old Westland man who was riding a bike died after being struck in Livonia. The man died at an area hospital. The accidents remain under investigation.

A police cruiser struck a 38-year-old man riding on a bike about 12:15 a.m. Friday morning in Lake Orion. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the officer wasn’t injured.
