DETROIT (WWJ) – Members of a Lansing-based National Guard unit are headed home after completing a one-year mission to Afghanistan.

About 100 soldiers from the 46th Military Police Command will arrive Sunday at Dewitt High School for a homecoming ceremony.

During their deployment to Afghanistan, the soldiers were involved in the ongoing effort to help Afghan soldiers assume control of their own facilities and soldiers.
