Detroit Red Wings Notes And Quotes 5-9-11

--LW Johan Franzen did not play in the third period after he tweaked the ankle injury that has been hobbling him since Game 3 of the first round against Phoenix. Franzen has been one of the league's most dominant playoff performers since 2008, but he just can't skate like he usually does. He has no points in this series, and coach Mike Babcock said he is questionable for Game 6 on Tuesday.

--RW Drew Miller was inserted into the lineup in place of Jiri Hudler. Miller had a strong first round against Phoenix but was scratched in favor of Kris Draper following Game 2 vs. San Jose. Miller is one of the team's best penalty killers and helped the Wings kill all four Sharks power plays. Hudler has struggled against the Sharks, with no points in four games.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We weren't giving up at all, kept going after them, getting pucks at the net, trying to be active with the (defense). We owe it to (goaltender Jimmy Howard). He kept us in the game in the first two periods." -- Wings defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom.
