Man Rescued In Water By Fire Department

DETROIT  (WWJ) – A story you heard first on WWJ.

Police have re-opened the Grosse Ile Toll Bridge after a late afternoon  water rescue.  

Grosse Ile Fire Department recovered the man who was transported to the hospital.

WWJ reports that the man has back and neck injuries and was taken to South Shore Hospital and should recover.
It is not known why the man fell in the water and it can’t be confirmed whether he was wearing a life jacket.

No one else was in the boat with him.

The boat has been pulled out of the water.
