Local Teens Heading To White House

WASHINGTON, DC (WWJ) - Some lucky Detroit-area high school students are heading to the White House.

About 10 teens are scheduled to attend a poetry and creative writing program on Wednesday -- hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama. And the reading continues through the night -- in the White House's East Room. The InsideOut Literary Arts Project says guests are expected to read, sing and showcase poetry's impact on American culture.
