Detroit Red Wings Roster Report 5-12-11
PLAYER NOTES
--C Darren Helm sealed the win with an empty-net goal. After scoring a career-high 12 goals during the regular season, Helm already has three goals in the playoffs. The team appreciates any offense it gets from a fourth-line player, but Helm is more valued for his speed and physical play because he wears down defenses.
--C Pavel Datsyuk had another tremendous game despite playing with a sore wrist. He made a great backhand pass to set up Valtteri Filppula's winning goal. He had three shots on goal and was his usual strong self defensively.
--C Henrik Zetterberg scored the tying goal and continues to flourish after missing the first round with a sprained knee. He had a plus-2 rating and did a good defensive job against big Joe Thornton.
MEDICAL WATCH
--LW Johan Franzen (sore left ankle) didn't play in Game 6.
