Threat Has Police and Parents Patrolling Birmingham School

BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) - Extra police presence is outside Birmingham's Seaholm High School this Thursday morning.

The extra security is because of another racially-tinged threat -- the second in two weeks at the school. This new threat, which was also found on the wall of the boy's bathroom, uses the N-word and threatens to kill all African American students on this date - May 12, 2011, according to WDIV-TV. The threat led school leaders to call in parents as well as police for security. Both will be patrolling the school Thursday and Friday.

From the earlier threat that mentioned names, one student has confessed to the deed. However, no one has claimed responsibility in this latest threat.
