Youngest Bishop In U.S. Will Come To Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit’s newest Catholic bishop is expected in town this summer.

Bishop José Arturo Cepeda is currently working as rector of Assumption Seminary in San Antonio.

But he has a sense of the challenges facing the Motor City.

“I know there have been very difficult times for the Detroit area, I know that it’s been difficult times for families, and I do know that at this moment we are always with our people bringing a message of hope,” says Bishop
Cepeda to WWJ.

Bishop Cepeda turns 42 on Sunday. He is the youngest bishop in the United States.
