Husband Convicted Of Dismembering Wife To Be Released From Prison After 11 Years

DETROIT (WWJ) - Eleven years following a Toledo-area man's conviction for killing and dismembering his wife and leaving her body parts at a McDonald's in Michigan, he's scheduled to be released from prison.

Forty-eight-year-old Thomas Craft was sentenced to 12 years in prison as part of a plea deal.

He will spend the next five years under state supervision at a halfway house.

The family of his wife, Lynette Craft, had petitioned for the placement after learning he planned to move to Wisconsin, near the couple's sons.

Craft maintained that his wife committed suicide and that he dismembered her body to hide the suicide from their sons.
