Prices At Pump Going Down … A Little Bit

DETROIT (WWJ) – If you filled up your gas tank Sunday, you may have noticed that prices are down a little bit from a day earlier.

Speaking live on WWJ, AAA Michigan spokeswoman Nancy Cain says the downward trend in gas prices may continue.

“Prices are down a little bit already. If you filled up … about $4.11 a gallon, down from $4.13 from the other day. We’re about $4.09 on average, down 14 cents from our all-time high,” notes Cain.

“The crude oil price is down; it’s been below $100 … so if this continues, we can expect to see a little relief at the pumps, the next few days even,” says Cain.

Cain says prices will come down a little bit more, but by just how much and over what period of time is still anybody’s guess.

And, this is suppose to make us all warm and fuzzy? The big parasite wants us to feel better about a few cents. How nauseating is that. Tell me all the speculators are coming down with a slow, incurable cancer, that will make me feel better. Tell me our congress is dropping like flies from hemorrhagic fever and I’ll start smiling.

One thing I do not understand is why do fuel prices rise sharply a day or two after oil prices rise but the price takes weeks to drop when oil prices drop?
