NextWave Stands Up For Film Credits

NextWave Media Studios, a subsidiary of the NextWave business incubator in Troy, plans Wednesday to announce the launch of a paid ad campaign in Lansing and targeted areas throughout the state in support of the state's endangered film incentive program.

Two spots have separate themes -- one addresses the economic impact of the film industry, while the other forecasts a brain drain if the incentives are taken away. They will air on Comcast cable spots on Fox News Channel, MSNBC, ESPN and Bravo, and can also be viewed at www.filmcreditswork.com.

A panel of some of the real people featured in the ads whose lives will be devastated by the loss of the film credits, and those who have already lost business will be available for interviews and questions at a press conference at 11 a.m. Wednesday at NextWave, 950 Stephenson Highway in Troy.
