DETROIT (WWJ) - The 5th Annual Detroit River Days are just a month away. WWJ’s Pat Sweeting was part of a media tour that got a sneak peek at the line-up.
Celebrating River Days fifth anniversary will be hundreds of Michiganians and visitors from outside the state.
Riverfront Conservancy, President and CEO, Faye Nelson tells WWJ what to expect: “Beginning with our two tall ships, the Appledore IV and the Appledore V, which will be docked at the Port Authority dock for visitors to tour all weekend,” says Nelson.
The U.S. Coast Guard will also have a cutter docked at the Riverfront for tours and for the first time there will be a free River Days fishing-fest for kids 16 and under.
“We designed it to provide families with the opportunity to enjoy the fun of fishing,” says Nelson.
