GM, Great Lakes Electronics To Recycle At Ren Cen

On Friday, May 20, General Motors and Great Lakes Electronics Corp. are hosting the first ‘Electronic Equipment Recycle Day’ at the GM Renaissance Center Complex.

This event will provide a convenient way for employees and non-employees, alike, to safely recycle old electronic equipment and small appliances. Safely recycling electronics helps keep substances like lead and mercury from harming people or the environment when deposited in landfills.

Please note that no labor will be available to assist in picking up materials from tower floors and delivering them to the parking lot.

The event will run from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the C parking lot of the RenCen’s 100 tower, along Atwater Street between Beaubien and St. Antoine streets.

Note that large appliances like washers, dryers, dishwashers and refrigerators are prohibited.
