Funeral Services Set For Don Barden

DETROIT (WWJ) – Funeral services have been announced for casino magnate and Detroit entrepreneur Don Barden.

Visitation, open to the public, will be held at 11 a.m. next week Friday, May 27, at Greater Grace Temple at 23500 West Seven Mile Road in Detroit, with Bishop Charles Ellis officiating.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, along Woodward Avenue in Detroit.

Barden died Thursday due to complications from lung cancer. He was 67. (More here).

    He was a very great man, I saw him when I stated working at Fitzgerald Casino/Hotel in Tunica.
    He was very simple, charismatic man, I admired him at the first time I saw him, my famer Supervisor Mr.Jame introduced me to him, and he was very respectful and happy to see me working for him at Fitz Casino/Hotel in tunica, MS, as cashier/Host
    May, God received him in the heaven and protect he legacies forever, amen!
