Teen Shot On Detroit’s Riverfront

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit Police are investigating a shooting outside the Renaissance Center. Officials say gunfire was reported Sunday night around 9pm near Atwater and Beaubien following an argument between two teens, ages 16 and 18.

The Detroit Free Press reports the 16-year-old allegedly fired the shots, hitting the 18-year-old in the shoulder. The injured teen was taken a local hospital and is expected to be okay. The other teen, according to a Detroit Police spokesperson, was taken into custody. Police also recovered a gun they think was used in the shooting.
