Grand Rapids-based Agility Health, a provider of physical rehabilitation and software services for patients, health care providers and employers, announced a strategic partnership with Border Therapy Services, a leading provider of physical therapy services in the greater El Paso, Texas area.

Agility Health’s latest partnership involves all three Border Therapy Services locations and advances the Company’s strategy to extend its multi-state group of partnered and owned clinics.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Border Therapy Services is a well established outpatient provider in the El Paso community, providing an array of patient services with a particular focus on sports performance rehabilitation and training. Agility Health plans to help Border expand its business and client offering through Agility’s clinical management technology and infrastructure support, which includes administrative, marketing and recruitment capabilities, as well as financial resources to help support future growth.

“Our new relationship with Border Therapy Services highlights the kinds of higher level attributes we seek in a strategic partner,” said Steven N. Davidson, Agility Health CEO. “In addition to being a well-run business whose management team understands the tangible value of creating a long-term, complementary partnership, the Border team is culturally aligned with our strong emphasis on working together to serve others. We also have the specific benefits of Border’s excellent clinical reputation, experienced team of providers and substantial sports performance expertise. As we combine these assets with the many capabilities Agility Health brings to our partnerships, we look forward to working with Border to pursue new opportunities for further growth.”

Davidson added that Mark Scott, Wayne Shaw and Mark Boncser, Border’s veteran ownership team, will “continue to be closely involved in the process of building on Border’s strong reputation and relationships in the El Paso community. Flexible ownership structures that help preserve clinic value are a hallmark of Agility Health’s partnered clinic strategy.”

Established in 1968, Agility Health delivers personalized care through nearly one million therapy visits annually at more than 110 service sites in 12 states nationwide.
