The Red Wings confirm that there will be an 11a.m. news conference tomorrow morning to discuss Brian Rafalski's future. Various reports say the veteran defenseman will retire and give up the final year of his contract at 6 million dollars. This would free up some cap room in free agency for Detroit. Rafalski battled thru a sore knee the entire post season.

Tigers look for 2 straight wins tonight, Detroit hosts Tampa Bay once again, Justin Verlander on the hill against Wade Davis. The Tigers were busy today making moves. As expected Phil Coke goes on the 15-day DL with a right foot bruise, this means Andy Oliver will be recalled from AAA Toledo and will likely start Saturday night against the Red Sox. Oliver pitched 2 innings today for Toledo allowing 1 earned run against Pawtucket before being taken out. Left Adam Wilk has been recalled from Toledo and Robbie Weinhardt designated for assignment.

The NFL has taken its first steps in canceling some events due to the lockout; the rookie symposium slated for June in Canton, Ohio has been canceled.
