Police Divers Find Body Of Man In Detroit River

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit Police recovered the body of a man from the Detroit River at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday after searching for several hours.

Police tell WWJ the victim is a Hispanic male but did not reveal his name.

Witnesses say the man went for a swim in the Detroit River near the Detroit Princess boat and never resurfaced.

The police dive team was assisted by the Coast Guard’s two rescue boats and a helicopter.
