Senate Bill Would Make Some 'Videotape Interrogations' Mandatory

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police would have to videotape interrogations of suspects in major felonies under a bill that has cleared the State Senate and is now awaiting a vote in the House.

Supporters say the videos protect suspects and police when charges are filed and cases move to court.

The only objection appears to be cost.
