Powerball Jackpot Worth $200 Million

DEARBORN (WWJ) – What would YOU buy with that $200 million up for grabs in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing?

A lot of dreamers will be doing just that between now and the 11:00 p.m. drawing — with the winning numbers available right after on WWJ Newsradio 950 and here on CBS Detroit.com.

Alan Friej, who runs Dearborn Liquor on Telegraph Road, expects to sell a lot of tickets between now and then.

“It definitely generates a lot more business other than the lottery,” Friej told WWJ Newsradio 950. “People come in and pick up other things and it just generates a lot more traffic in the store, for sure.”

Friej says he has sold a couple of $100,000 winners in his time, but never “The Big One.” But, he hopes he can land the big prize someday. Along with the notoriety, selling the winning ticket earns him a tidy commission from the state lottery.
