The Pistons and Palace Sports and Entertainment will officially welcome Tom Gores to the family later today. A press conference slated at 4:30pm at the Palace and we will carry it live here on the Ticket. According to Forbes magazine today, Gores purchased the entire package for $325 million.

NBA Finals resumes tonight in Miami for game 2, the Heat hosting the Mavs, LeBron James and company up 1 game to none. The team that wins game 1 of the Finals has gone on to win the series 73% of the time.

No decision yet for Nick Lidstrom on his future, the Red Wings captain was present at Kid Rock’s press conference today to announce he’s playing Comerica Park August 12th. Nick says he still has yet to decide if he will return for another season with the Wings.

ESPN reports that Terrelle Pryor and his mother were interviewed this morning by NCAA officials in regards to the cars that the Buckeye’s QB has been driving and where he got them. An attorney for Pryor says he was driving loaner cars and there is nothing wrong with that. OSU president Gordon Gee says that Athletic Director Gene Smith’s job is safe.
