83,000 Gallons Of Oil Recovered In White Oak Twp. Leak

WHITE OAK TWP. (WWJ) – Crews are still working round the clock to clean up an oil spill in White Oak Township.  Marathon says that more than 83,000 gallons of oil have been recovered so far and they are confident that the spill has been contained.

That’s about a third, though, of the oil that leaked into rural land at a tank farm over a month ago.

Officials say that local drinking wells have been tested and have come back negative for contamination.
