Matt Dery's Daily Update 6-3-11

Brandon Inge is the latest walking wounded for the Tigers. The team has placed their third baseman on the 15-day DL with mononucleosis of all things. Inge had been feeling sick the last few days, turns out he has mono. Catcher Omir Santos has been recalled from Toledo but likely just for the weekend with Magglio Ordonez expected back as early as Monday.

Tigers and White Sox tonight in Chicago, White Sox fresh off a surprising sweep of the Red Sox in Boston, Tigers have won 4 in a row. Andy Oliver on the hill for Detroit opposed by Mark Buerhle.

The Knicks say so long to Donnie Walsh, a highly controversial move in NY as the current architect of the team has decided to leave his post at the end of month as team president. Reports say owner James Dolan is pushing him out.

Michigan wide out Darryl Stonum pleads guilty in an Ann Arbor court to operating a car while visibly impaired. The plea agreement means the driving with a suspended license charge has been dropped, his sentencing is June 10th.
