FBI Seeks Assistance In Identifying Alleged Civil Rights Violation Suspect

DETROIT (WWJ) - Special Agent in Charge Andrew G. Arena announced Tuesday that the FBI is seeking the public's assistance in identifying an individual involved in an assault/alleged Civil Rights Violation.

The incident occurred at the BP gas station located at 18900 Greenfield in Detroit on March 07, 2011 at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Twenty-three-year-old Justin Alesna reportedly suffered a shattered eye socket after he was brutally attacked at the gas station. Alesna believes he was attacked because he is gay.

According to a YouTube video recorded by Alesna, the clerk at the gas station not only refused to call police but he encouraged the attacker to kill him.

The individual of interest is a black male, approximately 5'10" tall, 210 lbs, bald, with a goatee.
