Jeff Riger: Another Day At Country Day

Lions players were back at Detroit Country Day High School in Beverly Hills working out once again in preparation for the regular season that is if the season ever starts. While the practice was taking place, the media was asked to wait outside where a familiar face was spotted. Walking down the hall wearing a bright yellow shirt and plaid shorts was Detroit Lion legend Barry Sanders. So why was Barry there? Was he showing his support for Detroit players? Was he acting as an interim coach considering the real coaches can't talk or workout with the players? Was he thinking about making a comeback? Nope, none of the above is correct! Barry was at the school hanging out with his son who goes there. Tight end Brandon Pettigrew worked for the first time in the player led function and admitted that he is about ten pounds lighter. Pettigrew also claims that he feels very good physically. The Lions will have one more workout on Thursday at the school before parting ways for their homes. There are no plans for another such workout as players hope the lockout will end first and then official team functions will be able to begin.
