Celebrity Softball Buzzes With Pistons' Chatter

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - The second annual Celebrity Softball Game took place Saturday afternoon, and while the game was good, most of the talk centered around the upcoming season for the Pistons.

Charlie Villanueva said the Detroit Pistons' next coach needs to be a good communicator. WWJ's Rhonda Moss caught up with Ben Wallace who agrees that the next Pistons coach needs to be a solid communicator.

"...we can't put it all on the coaches, there's the saying, "you can change the frame but the picture remains the same", said Wallace of the firing of John Kuester.

Wallace also indicated that he was leaning toward another season with the Pistons rather than retire.

Villanueva says there was plenty of blame to go around. He says he wishes Kuester well but the team needs to look forward now.

Villanueva was one of a few Pistons playing in a celebrity softball game Saturday.
